Sara Hugh's Tina is out at AMC

An spokesperson for ABC has confirmed a report published in a New York newspaper last week stating that Sara Hugh (Tina Harding) has been let go from All My Children.

The report, published in the New York Daily News, comes at an ironic time. Hugh is expected to tape her final appearance sometime in February, a month that celebrates Black History. Hugh is the only remaining African American performer on contract with All My Children.

Hugh started off with All My Children in September 1999 in what was scheduled to be a recurring role. In February 2000, Hugh was put on contract and Tina and Adrian's romance began. The relationship never caught fire and by the time it looked as though Tina and Adrian might finally be happy, St. Patrick revealed that he was stepping away from the show.

In November 2000, an ABC rep insisted that Hugh had a future with the show and hinted that she'd become more involved with her new job at Pine Valley Hospital.

Hugh will make her final on-screen appearance during the first week of March.
